School PicturesSome students dread the yearly event of taking school pictures, but some kids see it as an opportunity to wear their favorite formal outfit, band T-shirt, or crazily imprinted vacation shirt. Even though the school pictures company sends home a packet stating that students should wear a solid color, not everyone abides by this suggestion. There are many reasons why it is important to dress in a neutral manner for your school picture. As much as you love your T-shirt that bears the name of your favorite grunge band, it is not a good idea to wear if for your school picture. You cant be sure how the shirt will look on the background; and besides, dont you want people to pay attention to you, instead of your shirt? This same reasoning applies when thinking about sporting that flower print shirt you got while on vacationloud prints and writing will make your photograph too busy, and will detract from the focus of the school picture: you! On the flip side, some female students may use school pictures as a time to show off their favorite feminine blouse or dress. While the outfit may certainly be gorgeous, school picture day is simply the wrong time to wear it. Your family and friends want a photograph that captures you, not your clothes. Besides, school pictures usually only capture students from the shoulders up, anyway. Choose a shirt that is a neutral, solid color and will likely blend well with any backgroundsometimes you can even find out the background color beforehand. If you have particular colors that set off your skin tone or your eyes, school pictures are a perfect time to show off those color compliments. With a simple outfit and a warm smile, your school pictures will capture this moment in your life and make a great gift for all of the loved ones in your life. |
