Driving SchoolTodays teenage driver faces more distractions than ever before. Cell phones, iPods, and friends all compete with the road, weather and vehicle for a teens attention when he or she is on the road. Auto accidents are one of the leading causes of death for teenagers in America and incidents of teens being injured in motor vehicle accidents rise each year. Driving schools are available across the country and courses are offered in a variety of formats. If you and your family are considering enrolling in a driving school to lower your insurance rates, it is best to check with the insurance company before enrolling to see which driving school they accept. Participation in safe driving schools often help teens gain confidence as drivers. They usually offer immediate feedback about driving errors they see teens making and suggest ways to correct the errors before they become accidents. Some driving schools even use cameras installed in the family vehicle to transmit the teens driving performance to the parent/guardian for review. This allows the parent/guardian to actually see how their teen handles the vehicle without them being present. After completion of a safe driving school, many studies have found teens improving their driving skills. The use of seatbelts increases and teens are less likely to be distracted drivers. Not only does the familys pocketbook experience savings with lower insurance rates due to fewer accidents, but the teens life may be saved as well by becoming a safer driver. |
