An Associate Degree is a degree which can be earned in two years if you are doing the coursework school full time. The coursework you will be required to take to get an Associates Degree will be general. For instance, you will be required to take college level mathematics, sciences, humanities, etc., in addition to courses in your field of study.

Many people choose to forgo the task of physically attending college and do all of their coursework in the privacy of their own homes.  If you chose to pursue an online Associates Degree you should make sure the college or university is accredited. Not only will your courses transfer if you decide to go to a four year university, but your degree will be recognized and acknowledged by future employers.
