Screening
The two key
questions used by the editors to determine whether send a manuscript
out for review are 1) Do the results generalize and 2) Is the study
likely to alter someone's practice? A study failing either criterion
will not be reviewed. Thus, PARE does not accept local
evaluations.

Submission
Please send your article to us electronically either as an e-mail attachment to pare2@ ericae.net. We should
be able to handle any common word processor format.
Review Process
In order to maintain our standards of high quality, we subject
all proposed articles to a rigorous review and refinement process.
The process typically involves screening, review, and editing.
The editors review the first draft of the article against the criteria
mentioned above and makes an determination as to whether the manuscript is suited to
Practical Assessment, Research & Evaluation. If it is found to be
suitable, a draft version is marked up
in html and placed in the editorial board's submission area. All editors are then invited to
review the manuscript. We hope to have manuscripts reviewed within three weeks of submission.
The author is notified. If the manuscript is accepted for publication, editorial
suggestions are made.
